Adding Buttons/icons onto bottom tool bar?

Hi there, NEWBY alert !! I am jsut starting out, how do I add function to the bottom tool bar for my whole app? I see I can edit the format but don't know how to add some functional buttons to it. Please could you assist. Also interested in reading up some more on the Interface App and BT options or functions, has anyone done a video or tutorial on how it works or can be used with BT? Cheers

Welcome Kaybee, If you want to have a tab bar at the bottom of your app you will need to create the separate screens under "screens & actions" and then go to the "Layout/Tabs" and assign each screen to one of the tabs. Note that you can have a Tabbed application or a single home screen (not both!) If you are looking to get started go to the "How To's" link above - lots of great information there. And also some great videos of the whole process in the Buzztouch U (University) link above. All the best with getting started building apps.... buzztouch is a great platform and has a great community. Kind Regards Darrel

Thanks for that. I get this message "Changes not saved! Erase the Home Screen Nickname, or erase all the Tab Screen Nicknames in the Tab Configuration, you cannot have ..." So can I not have menu screens from those tabs? Or how do I Erase the Home Screen Nickname? Thanks Kristen

That's right, you can have a single home screen or tabs - not both. Just delete the reference(s) to the one(s) you don't want and save the configuration. To be precise - Just delete the text of the screen(s) in the control panel fields. Refresh your app in the simulator and you should see it working !
