Awesome! Great to see you back from your surgery! I won't be around for the 4th wish I could join you all. I'm one of the few women of Buzztouch, of course my avatar doesn't resemble it lol. What does the event entail? Thanks Sheri and everyone who has started the page/group!!!

This is a virtual event on google events https://plus.google.com/events/cm0u7qiurqu9f7vj2cfq4f1t83c?enfplm ....My goal is to be a nomad once again so these meetups are great while living in one place but the ultimate goal of mine is to be ANYWHERE to do these thus the google events test! Trying to figure out how to record so everyone can watch later.

Sheri, i gave you a like so you can get this thing up and going, but I do want to also say that as a rule i do not care for "fraternities and sororities" within the over all group. Sometimes this can breed arguments and hurt feelings as the whole team breaks into smaller cliques and special interest groups. Hopefully, that will not happen with all us geeks, super geeks, psuedo-geeks, wanna-be geeks and aspiring geeks...but i just thought it prudent to put that out there to you. Hey Al- Appreciate the feedback. I totally get where you are coming from...but alas human nature as it is needs connection. This is all it is...label is just a label. A group of us decided to do this as a to get connected deeper.... Statistics will show you that female population is rare in developer environment and just wanted to create a format where a person wasn't feeling lost being "the only one". We don't care if your male, female, transgender or mork from ork.....it's just getting in touch with buzztouch softer side....my personal beliefs feel that we all have a feminine and masculine side and this is venue is created for that....getting connected with more feminine side...no matter how you define that. I believe we a learn different. Some learn by audio, some video, some reading and some by kinetically....this our way of giving you a hug ;) -Sheri

It is interesting being a woman in this business....the last group meetup group I attended had about 20 men but not a single woman except for me! I think community is about making connections--there can be connections by regional location, but there also could be connections based on shared interests. It has been really fun to "meet" so many of you at buzztouch, and I am looking forward to meeting a few of you in person, and maybe a lot of you in Google Hangouts! The most important thing we share among us all is our shared desire to make apps and our appreciation for buzztouch as the premier app making tool.

I am afraid it wasn't a buzztouch meetup. It was a generic mobile meetup group. This one is called Mobile Twin Cities, and coincidentally David Book will be the featured speaker at the October meeting, on October 16. The Minnesota buzztouch Meetup will have some smaller events with David as well.

Perhaps we can someday have him do full scale seminars for a weekend someplace central for all of us like Dallas or Chicago. I would certainly go to that. Might even get guys like Mark (goNorthWest) and David's partners to put stuff together and call in some third party vendors...might be profitable, educational and fun for all of us.
