Buzztouch and Google Maps -Did something break in iOS 6?

A week ago if you tapped a pin on my location map a popup with the Name and Address (Title & Subtitle) would appear with a circle i (i) to the right. I could tap the i and it would open the native google Maps app with driving directions and clickable phone number. Today when I tap a pin I get the same popup but it asks "Do you want to open the native maps application to route directions?" if I tap "OK" I get "It appears that device location information is unavailable. This feature will not work without location information." Apple now integrated their own maps with iOS 6, did this change everything? I tried this on a 3gs running iOS 5 and a 4s running iOS 6 same problem but the iOS 6 phone looks like it pulls up apple maps. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Greg

Hi Greg, There have been a few forum posts about this. You're not crazy, something did change. It appears that iOS 6 has changed the way the "driving directions" options work. Previously, as you know, directions opened in the native maps app. It looks like iOS 6 has moved this to Safari (if you have location info) with Google Maps. We're working on updating lots of plugins (like maps) so they are iOS 6 "aware." This is something we go through with each new iOS release and it generally takes a few weeks for us to iron out some mysteries.

Thanks for the response David! Glad to know I am not nuts, or at least about this ;) It is a never ending game keeping up with software changes as the end user, we sometimes forget that the creators have just as much work keeping up with each other. I knew Buzztouch would be on the trail... Thanks for all of the hard work! Greg

My iPhone 3gs is still on ios 4.1. I have an app with google maps with driving directions from a pin that worked fine yesterday, but not today - same problem as Greg. I haven't recompiled or anything. How can Apple have done that to non ios 6 devices?
