Hi there, Just as a contribution for our community I would like to leave here in the forum some problems I went through when installing Buzztouch self hosting. It may save you some time (It took me 5 hours the get over it : ) Error 1 During the installation process I got stuck on the page install_2.php? . When I tried to click on the "next" button nothing happened! I could not move forward! on the screen everything looked OK. I was using Chrome as my browser. Problem source The problem was a javascript error that was blocking the button to function. When I inserted the physical path of the application I left a "" at the end of the path. e.g. C:inetpubvhosts ecandparks.cahttpdocsmobile This "" at the end creates an error in the javascript. Solution Just remove it. It should be C:inetpubvhosts ecandparks.cahttpdocsmobile Error 2 After everything installed when I tried to open buzztouch I got the following error: {"result":"invalid", "message":"serverError", "fromDavid":"Have a look at line 56 config.php in the root of your install, the software is having trouble with your database settings"} It looks very obvious "it's a problem with your login in the database" but here it's an interesting fact: During the installation with the same credentials (user and password) I setup the config.php buzztouch was able to login in the database and create all tables. So was not a problem with my credentials... Problem source During the installation I changed the database table prefix from "bt_" to "buzztouch_" Solution Just don't change the database table prefix. @wilson_santos: "It took me 5 hours the get over it " - wow, you're a trooper. For sure there are some improvements needed in the install process, like doing a better job at filtering the input's so things like backslashes don't break the routine. Thanks a bunch for struggling through this. It's a constant game of improvement, adjustment, and re-release with a constant eye on getting it to work EXACTLY like it should with a bullet proof install routine.
