Are you running on a PC or a Mac @crazy? Sounds like you just need to go to the java site and download the right runtime environment BTW, Just putting "help" as a topic can be a put off to some and many times will not get you the help you need...try "getting JRE and JDK errors on eclipse" and I can all but guarantee you will get a better response...besides, it make it easier for others to use your thread to learn as well, since the forum is searchable. Cheers Al :-) and

Please help me. I am trying to set up Eclipse and JDK and I don't understand any of this. I've built apps using Buzztouch in the past, and I think I do well with that side of technology. This is just giving me such a hiccup. Trying to open Eclipse after I installed JDK, I get this message: "A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) must be available in order to run Eclipse. No Java virtual machine was found after searching the following locations: C:\Users\Mimi\Downloads\eclipse-jee-juno-win32-x86_64\eclipse\jre\bin\javaw.exe javaw.exe in your current PATH What do I do to fix this? Thank you so much in advance!

Howdy, It looks like you don't have Java installed? If you followed the steps in the document I reference a couple responses above, it should get you going. I'd stay away from the 64-bit version of everything and just go with 32-bit. Seems to work better. Mark

My primary computer is a 64 bit dual processor quad core machine. In my experience 64 bit is like a Semi. slow to get going, but once you have the inertia, you cannot stop it. I agree with Mark, however....unless you have a machine totally designed for 64 bit (like mine) then stick to 32...it will run faster and likely run with less glitching. Al :-)
