I am at last making the move from 1.5 to 2.0 and I'm trying to get used to the small differences. For example, adding icons to the list menu was a quick and easy way to make an app look more polished in 1.5, and I now see that feature is gone in 2.0. I noticed on buzztouch mods there is a plugin that allows this, but as I am not self-hosted, I suppose I can only wait for it to become available in the plugin market. Are there any plans for this?

I believe that @SusanMetoxen is working on adding that very feature to her Menu with Header Image plugin!

The plugin is out there...it is called the Menu with Image. I am working on an enhancements to bring back the other features of 1.5. It is only $2.99. Enhancements that return us to the functions of 1.5 are included in the price....you won't need to pay again. The version on the market today is a LOT easier to use than 1.5 because you only need one image for ALL devices. It also resolves the problems with the image sizes between iPhone and Android. There is no need to add the @2x images. The plugin automatically stretches the image to fit, without distortion.

Not quite the equivalent, at least not yet, but you can insert a header image. And I hope I made it a bit easier with the one image approach.

Hi Susan, it sounds like it is moving in the right direction!. I'm a bit unclear on whether a) If you can add an image to each menu item (e.g. one image per line) and b) If the plugin works for Android. Could you confirm if those two features are there or if they are on the roadmap please? The reason I'm asking is I have recently found out (the hard way) that the simpleadvancedmenu plugin breaks BT2.0 android builds and that you have to go in and modify java to straighten things out. With the next release of the Menu with Image, you will be able to have an image on each line. Here is the image I plan to put up with the soon coming release: http://whitebuffalomobile.com/images/screen-1.png I hope to get this version to the market this week, if at all possible.
