Button image help

I need some help uploading an image to my app. I used the button menu and did everything I was asked in the control panel. I uploaded the pictures and everything, and downloaded the source code. After running the project on an emulator, I saw a gray box where the button with the uploaded image was supposed to be. Any suggestions? P.S. I chose "clear" for my background and didn't include a color.

If this is for iOS you have to make sure that you not only add the image file to the BT_image folder but that you ALSO drag the file into that folder in xcode.

@willjj85 is quite right, but to expand a little, you need to go into your project usding xcode if it is an ios project or eclipse if it is Android. The button images should not be uploaded, they need to be bundled in the places @willjj85 suggests in eclipse or xcode and compiled with the project code. Then they should appear.

It's an eclipse project, sorry if I didn't clarify that. But alright, I put the images in the drawable folder, and when I loaded it on eclipse, I saw a ton of errors. I didn't know there was a specific drawable folder I needed to load it in. As for naming them, Is there a specific name I have to give my images or can they be custom? Because when I used to tinker with the iphone, there were certain apps with pictures that had the same name.

So if I get this straight; specify what photos to use in the app control panel re-download the source code put the images in res-drawable, and it should work?

With eclipse you have to be careful about naming your images. Dashes aren't accepted - ... only underscores _ letters from a to z numbers from 0 to 9 i hope that helps.. if im wrong someone correct me, bc im no way an eclipse specialist!

Any information is useful information, I'm bumping into errors almost every turn, honestly I'm hating the color red right now, so any help I can get is greatly appreciated.

and you need to change ther properties of your project to google api's - check the supplied readme pdf for proper details. You will get a ton of errors if you don't do this.

No capital letters in naming your images all lower case letters

@Abidemi11, you're a trooper! If your avatar is any indication, you're a young, energetic, and soon to be awesome mobile devleper. Eclipse can be difficult, especially when working with the Android SDK. You'de think these two packages would play nicely together but it doesn't always work that way. @GoNorthWest wrote a good PDF on how to get all this going if you want to check some basics about your machine and setup. Have a look in the How To's for the "things you will need" and "configuring your machine" docs.

aw man! you guys rock! I did put it in the drawable folders before, but it didn't work because I used illegal characters, so thank you for bringing that to my attention! I hope I can contribute more later, this is so cool!!!
