Installing BT Server on 1and1 hosting

I've been trying to install the BT Server on 1and1 hosting since version 1.4. I can not get a check mark to appear in the red box during the setup. As far as I can tell all the information regarding the PHYSICAL PATH and the ROOT URL is correct. I’m seeking guidance as to where I should be looking to resolve the error. Thanks in advance for your assistance. The BT forum is great. Dwight

Do you have the mysql database information correct? What errors are you receiving? If you had a screenshot to the forum, someone at the forum can possibly help you further.

@mysps is correct. You've been here a while @dwight, good man. Can you post a screenshot? Bound to be something crazy. Never used 1&1 but it's all basically the same. You'll get it.

I have it running on 1&1, I remember I did have to fiddle a little bit but I can't remember what I had to do. If there is anything specific you want me to look at, let me know.

Thanks for the responses guys. I really appreciate all your help. Thanks @MacApple for the recognition. Buzztouch launched in January 2010. I started following it about a year later, not too long after you. However I didn't join BT until much later. I read the forum posts almost everyday but I still can't get the BT Server set up and running. I've tried every variation I can think of, I'm at wits’ end. I couldn't post a screenshot, but here are my values for the install: Application PHYSICAL PATH: bt-server.newsshow.info Application ROOT URL: /homepages/18/d369000590/htdocs/BT-server/install Database Server like "localhost": db424777527.db.1and1.com Database Name: db424777527 Database User Name: dbo424777527 Database Table Prefix: bt_ Thanks guys.

@Dwight Good man, good to see you posting and not just 'lurking' as my friends on another forum say. Maybe the guys above can help with the 1&1 if not I'll chime back on and we can take care of it. @Rad Doc is good people. Good to make you acquaintance!

OK, here are my server settings: http://graphics.fangrock.co.uk/screenshots/Screen%20Shot%202012-09-18%20at%2006.18.24.png I can't embed an image so you'll have to copy and paste. It might be that your Application ROOT URL should be: /homepages/18/d369000590/htdocs/BT-server/ (not /install) But I'm not sure, maybe Rad can help a bit more.
