Eclipse Android App Issues!

I am launching a test android app through the virtual device and I have menu items which link to plain text plugins and HTML doc plugins. However, neither of these seems to work. They both give errors like 'File not downloaded yet' etc and no content is shown. What could the issue be? There are warnings but no errors :s

First off open the default browser and make sure it connects to the internet.. I'll look around a little. Post the warnings if you can.

okay it's not connecting to the internet... restarting the emulator or deleting and recreating the AVD may be a quick fix.

Try creating a emulator with a different target level one that has Google API's.. You can also try going into the setting within emulator and see if it allows you to do anything under 'network' should not be the case.. but try this link http://www.gitshah.com/2011/02/android-fixing-no-internet-connection.html

I should add that I am using WiFi via a router. I've tried a cable to plug in via LAN but that doesn't seem to have helped. What else can I try?
