Never ending pursuit to create a RSS feed with thumbnail pics!

Ok so I am slowly coming to terms that creating a rss feed in Buzztouch that displays thumbnail pics is a myth or it will be added as the 8th wonder of the world... does anyone out there know how to or has created this in their app? if so please share :)

I treat this as a part-time quest. I found out a few months ago by googling that Wordpress might work. I can't remember the details of what I did, but I started from a position of never having used wordpress before, so it couldn't have been too hard. I set up a wordpress blog and used a couple of wordpress plugins to create an rss feed and one of them added a media enclosure support for rss (I think) and guess what - the blog had images that worked with the BT RSS plugin! I will try an find out what I did, but it might take a while to retrace my steps. But I thought maybe you needed to know it was feasible at least... Alan

My wordpress site is no longer up, but I'm hoping there is a backup somewhere. It might take a day or two, but I will try & dig out what I did

I tried the tutorial and although it does create a great mobile version of what I am looking for it still does not add the thumbnails... there is just a picture of a little camera on each post... the posts do have imahes in them when you open the post so I know there are pictures to thumbnail... any ideas?

I restored my wordpress site. Here are the plugins I added to make RSS work from a blog. - FeedWordPress- a simple and flexible Atom/RSS syndication for WordPress (By Charles Johnson) - MediaRSS - Adds <media> tags to your feeds (By Andy Skelton) - WP RSS Images - Add feature images to your blog rss (By Alain Gonzalez) I also used WPtouch, but I don't think it is relevant to this. The next step I wanted to do was to drive external RSS feeds through my own RSS feed so that the formatting of the data fits the BT plugin. If you are looking to do the same and manage it, please let me know! Cheers, Alan

Thank you for looking up that info! I did install these plugins and I am still kind of stuck.. I actually am taking an external rss feed and importing it into my word press sight... this is probably why I cant get the thumbnail pics to show right?if you can tell me what you did to make this work I would really appreciate it...

For my test, I got as far as creating a local Wordpress blog, adding a picture manually to my blog. I then took the rss2 feed url for that blog and using that url in the BT RSS plugin, it worked in my app with thumbnails. That is as far as I got. I did find some external rss feeds that are compatible with the RSS plugin, but I never linked them to wordpress. For the next step, I wanted to link Wordpress to an external RSS feed, but I never did - this is what I think you also want to do. Alan
