What type of background audio file is supported?

I want to add background audio to a couple of screens but when I try to upload .wma or .mp3 files with file uploader I get a message saying invalid file type. Was just wondering what type it is then or if the file uploader doesnt work for audio?

My understanding is that mp3 at the very least should work. I'm contacting @David for his opinion. Mark

What is the full name of the file you are uploading? I just tested my self hosted and it uploaded, as Mark says, an mp3 with no issues.

For self hosting control panel...have a look at /BT-server/includes/utilityFunctions.php Scroll down to the function called "fnGetAllowedUploadMimeTypes()" It's on about line 224. This lists all the file types the control panel will allow you to upload. Modify as needed (you're self hosting so it's up to you).
