Hey Jawdoss, There's a section in this doc on getting things configured for Mac. Often running Android SDK Manager without Eclipse running makes things work. Check it out and let me know if you still run into problems. http://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/buzztouch_For_Android-A_Users_Guide.pdf Mark

Check the Console tab to see what it says. You either need to run Android Tools...Fix Project Properties on those projects, or hit Properties...Android, and make sure you have the correct API selected. Mark

To fix the project properties follow following steps: Right click on the project file --> Choose Android tools ---> Choose Fix Project Properties. This will fix your project properties.

What are you seeing in the Errors or Console tabs for those apps? That'll give us a clue as to what's wrong.

Still not seeing anything in the error console :( See this for reference: https://www.dropbox.com/s/gkkqap0fafvj833/eclipse%20not%20working.mov P.S. I do have the app set so that it opens up on the custom URL (for both apps). Could this be affecting it?

In the panes along the bottom, where logcat is, enable the 'problems' pane, it should report what the issue is, or at least give a clue. Can't see the video very clearly, are all the errors something like 'r cannot be resolved to a variable'? Try a Project > Clean to start with, see if that helps. (highlight project name in the left pane then hit 'Project' along the top).

After i clean the project in the console it says: [2012-09-15 10:30:35 - FBtouchpro] (skipping hidden file '/Users/jordanstpierre/Desktop/Home/FB/fbtouchpro_v20_Android/res/drawable/.DS_Store') [2012-09-15 10:30:35 - FBtouchpro] (skipping hidden file '/Users/jordanstpierre/Desktop/Home/FB/fbtouchpro_v20_Android/res/layout/.DS_Store') [2012-09-15 10:30:35 - FBtouchpro] res/layout/screen_Test.xml: Invalid file name: must contain only [a-z0-9_.] and in the second app when i clean the project it says in the console: [2012-09-15 10:31:32 - Twitter] (skipping hidden file '/Users/jordanstpierre/Desktop/Home/twitter/tweetfortwitter_v20_Android/res/drawable/.DS_Store') [2012-09-15 10:31:32 - Twitter] (skipping hidden file '/Users/jordanstpierre/Desktop/Home/twitter/tweetfortwitter_v20_Android/res/layout/.DS_Store') [2012-09-15 10:31:32 - Twitter] res/layout/screen_Test.xml: Invalid file name: must contain only [a-z0-9_.]

2 things might help.. Invalid file name: must contain only [a-z0-9_.] Should be all lowercase. You've got screen_Test.xml (right click file - Refactor > Rename - change to screen_test). and... When you download and unzip the project from the bt console, before importing into eclipse open the folders and delete all the .DS_Store files. They don't need to be there, or do it in eclipse if they're visible??? Never used a mac though, so I don't know if those files will get auto generated again??? And can you enable the pane called 'problems' to see what it's error reporting says. (In the tabs along the top - Window > Show View > Problems).

I have changed them to lower case. I have gotten rid of the. DS_store, and renamed the screen_Test.xml to screen_test.xml. When i clean the projects nothing comes up in the console anymore for either apps :) But they still have the red crosses. the red crosses lead to SRC > com.appname >BT_file manager and Test.java (this is the same in both apps) The Problems window shows 4 errors: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9vmmwmuqwmakqgl/Screen%20Shot%202012-09-15%20at%2011.16.43%20AM.png

'cannot be resolved or is not a field' - The java files can't understand something in the res folder or assets(?). Might be image names, or wrong file type? - can't read the line with the error on your video. Or a naming convention (lowercase - the screenshot still shows screen_Test) or something you've modified incorrectly in the layout files. Also, try a Project > Clean again. Basically, when you make changes like re-naming, do a clean, redo the project properties like Sandeep says above, and right click the project name > Refresh.

i have fully fixed the screen_test problem. Now all that is left to fix is the 'my first app delegate cannot be resolved': when i click on this in the problems window it take me to this line: String appDataDirectory = myfirstapp_appDelegate.getApplication().getFilesDir().getAbsolutePath(); ** please note that 'myfirstapp_appDelegate' is underlined red (that has the problem)**

What's the name of your project? Is it the FBtouchpro or myfirstapp??? I think its FBtouchpro. In the appDelegate file in which you are getting an error do one thing, instead of myfirstapp_appDelegate use FBtouchpro_appDelegate at all the spaces you are getting that error.

Ok. its working and i need a few people to test out the application for me. I will post the link to my dropbox here. You might think its a stupid app, but i have an app that is the same (but with ads), and this morning it reached 31,000 downloads in 2 and a half weeks! :) This will be a payed version soon when i get it working correctly. Heres the link, incase you wanted to help me test it for bugs and things like that: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9xvj88n1bhc4obl/fbtouchpro.apk
