I just noticed a new problem with how the Menu with Image plugin works on the buzztouch website. When you add rows, the list of new screens to choose from does not display accurately. This problem does not affect self-hosted--it only occurs when using the buzztouch website. There is an easy workaround--if you add the screen before you add the row you can select the screen. I will work with David to repair this as soon as possible. This problem does not affect self-hosting. I also checked the Menu Simple and the Menu Buttons plugin and they are fine too. Please let me know if you see any strange screen behavior when working with the Menu with Image. Thank you!

Got it. Found it. Fixed it :-) Can't wait to get the newest version of the self hosted package out...it will prevent LOTS of these little details were running into. Sigh.. FYI: I'll be posting a note in the forums in the next few days about this...We'll want to begin shifting questions and ideas about specific plugins to the "Discussions" area for each plugin. Each plugin has this already but almost nobody realizes it so everything ends up in this main forum (which isn't a big deal). Ultimately we'll need to figure out a way to improve the site navigation / forum navigation so everyone understands this. In the meantime, I'll be nudging folks towards the "Discussions" screen for each plugin as I remember...you could do this too :-)

Thank you, David! I will work on moving discussions to the plugin item. It is a good thing you mentioned it, because @chris1 had already posted there and had some very thoughtful suggestions I would have otherwise missed.

SUSAN I AM HAVING PROBLEMS... MY MENU WILL NOT OPEN THE NEW PAGES....? IS THERE AN ISSUE GOING ON NOW....

This plugin is working well on lots of self hosted servers and on buzztouch.com hosted apps so surely there's something simple going on :-) Q1: Are you seeing any errros in your control panel? Q2: Are you self hosted or buzztouch.com? Q3: Have you compiled this in iOS or Android and tested on simulator or not that far yet? We'll get this figured out.

not self hosted compiled in the iOS testing on iPhone sim.... the menu will show up but when i tap on a menu item nothing is happening.... in the control panel... when i open the screen and try to click on the menu action i get kicked out of buzztouch to a screen from my service provider telling me that page not found?

UPDATE.... It will open up pages that are not other image menu... screens... i am trying to menu to another menu (with images) it will open to url and it will open to regular menu but not image menu screen

DAVID it is now opening a new menu with image i built but wont open the menu items inside it

David, I just sent you a screen shot. What I am seeing is that a new row and new screen is successfully entered, but you cannot access it through the "Loads this screen / action..." @MargoRita Apps: Say as a workaround I believe it would work to back to the "screens" and add access the screen through the back door. Thank you so much for reporting this!

@Susan: I saw the screenshot you emailed. It clearly shows where the broken link is when you click the "loads this screen / action" link from the plugins properties screen. Have a look at the URL in the screenshot you sent...it shows... http://www.buzztouch.comfiles/plugins/....... See the missing "/" after buztouch.com? It should be AND NOW is... http://www.buzztouch.com/files/plugins... This explains and fixes the broken link. Darned forward slashes! LOL. Updated :-)

SUSAN/ DAVID im getting the following error in xcode... 2012-09-10 19:24:58.151 bettorsedge2012college[1058:17303] WB_screen_menuImage: The application doesn't know how to handle action? trying to open a menu option in your plug in.... the page im trying to open is a custom url

This isn't an error in Xcode, it's a message posted to the Xcode Console to help you understand how your app is behaving. We spent countless hundreds of hours inserting code into your project that is specifically designed to help you understand what's happening. Open the console, "clear" it, click something in your app while it's running in the sim....see the output? "WB_screen_menuImage" is the name of the class file in Susan's Plugin. The output console is telling you it cannot find this class file in your project. Did you drag the plugin into xcode after downloading the source? Sounds to me like Xcode doesn't know anything about this plugin. It's necessary to drag all the plugins into Xcode after downloading the source code for a project. Adding the plugin to your control panel is the first step. The next step is to download the source code for the app, the next step (as illustrated in vidoes and the .pdf instructions) is to drag the plugin package into Xcode.

David... thanks.... I did that from the start.... I am going to play with it now and see what happens today....

david/susan ok... here is what it is doing... i deleted the menu(w image)... rebuilt it... using the same data and menu items... it worked flawlessly!!!!! then.... i changed the default arrows and it locked up... none of the menu items will open... that was the only change... after it locked... i tried reloading the code and plug in's still locked...

Say, do you mean that you re-downloaded your project source code? In order for plugins to work, it is necessary to repackage and download your project source code, following the instructions for new iOS (Xcode) or Android (Eclipse) projects. It will not work to add the plugins to an existing project package. You can't just delete the menu with image--you need a new project package. Let me know. We will figure this out! Thanks!

What files do you see in the BT_plugins->menu_with_image folder in Xcode?

5 files the png and then two h file and two m files... (if that makes since) i just re built the page again... and when i selected the details arrows it wont work and if i change them it still is locked up... so i rebuilt it again with default arrows... and not selecting a color for the selector... and it is flawless... i think the problem has something to do with the details arrows and your plug in... ???? that seems to lock it up...

It might just be me, something simple I'm not doing right... Using Eclipse for Android app. I can't get the splash screen to work with the plugin. Works (splash screen) if I use it as an intermediary screen to go to the Menu with Image from another screen, but the splash screen does not work on app start up. It seems like the splash "is" the graphic image in the Menu with Image with the fade in count. Does this make sense? -Led

I haven't tried it with a splash screen. I will try it and see if it happens to me. I have seen other posts with strange behavior with the Android splash screen. I will set this question up on the discussions page for the plugin.

Couple of updates: David fixed the problem with the details arrow last night. Thank you, David! Led, I ran a splash screen on Android this morning and had no problem. Thanks Susan and David !!! your plug in is great and is going to resolve my issue with getting my apps to the app store... i have two apps under review... and have plans for six more... if i can do anything to help you with future plug ins let me know... i also have some ideas... for plug ins that are needed... i may try my hand at building one
