BlogPro not working for me

Hi I am new to BT, and would kindly appreciate a little help. I have downloaded the BlogPro plugin after following all the instructions to install it I can't get it to work. When I compile my app in Xcode there are no errors reported but when I access the screen I created using BlogPro in the simulator only a blank screen is displayed. I have toyed with it for hours with no success. I am buzztouch hosted (if that makes a difference). Can someone please point me in the right direction? Ben

Hi Ben, If your on iOS you create a new screen and choose blog pro from the select list. Once you've done that click on that newly created screen. Now you're in the blog pro screen. First setup everything in the advanced properties (inside the zipfolder of the plugin is also a manual with some sample settings). When finished you can create a new blog item. Give it a name an click add. Now you see the created item on top of the screen. Click on it and a popup will show with the settings for this blog item. It's the same procedure as making a menulist. Don't forget to read the manual and don't forget to connect you screen (blog) to a menu or tabbar. Hope this explains enough. If you still have questions feel free to ask. Best regards Danny

Hmm...Can we assume you've "drug" the plugins from the download folder into Xcode? This is a necessary step that some new users don't realize. There's a video showing it, and there's a PDF in the download. 1) Download your project. 2) Unzip it. 3) Open project in Xcode (you've done all this) 4) DRAG the BT_Plugins folder from the downloaded folder OVER your app's name in Xcode. This is the name of your app in the left side "Project Explorer." Hoping that helps.

Thank you both for your quick responses. David, yes I have already drug the pluggins folder. My App functions in the simulator with other screens, it is just the BlogPro screen that won't show. Danny, I can't wait to get BlogPro working, it looks like a great plugin and exactly what I need. I have followed your advice but I am a little lost when you mention the advanced properties (inside the zip folder). Is the folder that you refer to the bta_screen_blogpro.zip downloaded from the "download self hosted version" link? Because that is the only .zip folder I can find associated to BlogPro. I have downloaded it and read the manual. I was able to do some of the steps but not all for example I could not find "bt_v15/bt_includes/". I really hope I am not missing something obvious. Thank you again for your help Ben

Hi Ben, Sorry for the confusion. Inside the zipfile from the plugin you downloaded you can find the right manual. It seems that the manual on the website www.bt-addons.com wasn't updated right. I'll correct that as soon as I'm home from vacation. Hope you'll find all the ansers in the correct manual. (Bta_screen_blogpro.zip) Best regards Danny

Hi Ben, Haven't heard from. Did you get the plugin working? Please redownload the plugin. The correct manual is included now in the zipfile. Best Regards, Danny

Hi Danny, Please excuse my ignorance but I still a little lost about the .zip file. I downloaded the plugin from the plugin market at http://www.buzztouch.com/plugins/ (I am not self hosted) the only .zip file I can find on BT associated with Blog Pro is titled "self hosting" (Bta_screen_blogpro.zip). Although I am not self hosted I downloaded this file again. I noticed that the instructions have changed but they are asking for a file called "TheBlogProPlugin". Which does not seems to be in the zip folder which the instructions were in. But after I looked around I found the folder titled "source-ios" seemed to include the files that appear in the photo inside the instructions. I followed the instructions yet the plugin still appears not to work. Is this plugin only designed to be used if you are self hosted? Thank you again for your help Ben

Hi Ben, The plugin is designed to work on both. When you go to your account and click on installed plugins, look for the blog plugin. What does it say? Installed? You can use this only on bt 2.0 and not on 1.5 or 1.4 If it's installed you can use it right from you control panel. Does this help? Best Regards, Danny
