Image Gallery Plugin Question - Basic

I apologise if this is a rudimentary question, as I have been away while the plug-in side was developing (To answer Macapples Question - No not in a HM Prisoner or as the Rangers Football Owner but new job with an intense manager) So to question I want to do a quick app in BT 2.0 love the plug-in concept - I need to add image gallery but cant see the plug-in. Searched forum and seen links to self hosted external plug-in but I am not self hosting (yet) Any help gratefully received.

@Marko You know I always smile when I see you posts. Good to see you. The gallery plugin - running on empty here right now - is not available a native BT Server plugin at the moment but I may be wrong. There is an external site offering such a service but I haven't used it. On a side note, mate, spend some more time on here, know you are busy and all that but I - and others - like the cut of your jib. Second side note. Celic app has bumped up to around 30 downloads a day, free and no ads and needs an update but the people that have emailed me love the push notifications on match day. Anyway..... Good to see you mate, someone I class as a good friend thanks to the power of BT. Peace Keith

The 2.0 Self Hosted Image Gallery was like a moving target IIRC. I think there were some unofficial releases of it. I have it if you need it and the links are not working. Check BTMods too, might be there. I thought the 2.0 BT Had a Gallery as well.. They have gutted the plug-in pages and stuff is kind of in progress. So you are correct it is not there now. Maybe the guys are spiffing it up a bit for a re-release? Self host tho so you can do some shopping. Some cool new toys to play with. I'm kicking around a few galleries and might try to get one of them on the market soon. No question, these things are key for apps.

Hi Keith I am working my way back into the BT fold, made much easier by you guys. Most my time is spent driving at moment but future looks bright, future looks Buzztouch. Love the concept of the plug ins and know this is the future. Have started an app to learn 2.0 and I really enjoy the BT U. On a personal note loving American politics. The leaders wives are more impressive than the leaders. Is there an app that can cleanse me as I find both find Michelle Obama and Sarah Palin/ Anne Romney attractive, am I spending too long driving...

Hi Atrain Looking into self hosting, is self hosting a large task. Very new to networks and setting up hosting so was going to step into this slowly, how has your experience been. PS as someone with irish parents I think that your logo looks like 1/2 of my family, we used that pose just to get a seat on the table, or when someone said hurling was not that tough

@Marko Nice one. When you making the switch over? Future is bright, castle coming along well and parents over in April for KY Derby, should be fun. If I can just get the moat finished..... @ATRAIN53 is right, goal posts have moved and taken us all up a few levels. @ATRAIN53 Sounds sweet, can't wait for a plugin gallery. Use two differrent methods right now and neither are ideal. Flickr was slick for 1.5 but plugin is required, be a huge addition. Right, off to rock out the #OldSkool lawn mower. http://db.tt/ZGGIz6pl

Its a piece of cake if you pick a good hosting service (like Bluehost or Oneworld). They have great control panels to set everything up. Pick a host, set-up your account, add a database and then follow the BT Guide to install the server. You'll be rocking with no restrictions, Take advantage of the tools and toys the BT crew is giving. and remember you can do a lot more than BT Server with Self Hosting... @Mac favorite feature of image galleries? I'm playing with 2 of them. They both work pretty much the same as the original BT gallery. But captions are a feature I want to utilize. (and maybe a photo editior) Would a good implementation for a gallery consist of having fields to enter the file name AND a caption in the BT control Panel - per photo? What I love about one gallery I've beee playing with is that you can use local or remote photos in the same gallery and specify the captions easily.
