The standard buzztouch location map plugin has a strange way of displaying markers. when zoomed out with locations across the world the map markers move out if position as it appears the top left of the maker is used as the point. An enhanced version could be done similar to batchgeo and pull data from xl sheet and also options to set default zoom to users position or specific marker regardless of how many there are. Just a suggestion!

Good idea, we'll see who replies? Side note: The zooming behavior you're mentioning, is this iOS or Android? The map plugin that's available shouldn't do this.

Hi David. In my current Global Piper Hire app on android I have pipers from USA right across the world to New Zealand so the map is fully zoomed out to fit in all the markers. It is displaying markers in the sea etc because of this. don't know if this can be resolved. an enhanced version could also allow links to be clicked which could cut back on screens in the app too In fact there are probably loads of cool features that could be added. just wish I had the know how to make it myself.

Yup...got it. And, BTW, Piper, as in Piper airplanes? Awesome. Cessna guy myself but have dreams of a fancy Piper someday! I'll see if I can figure out the map issue. The icons themselves can be directed to different screens, not sure if you new that? When an icon is tapped, a little info window opens...the control panel allows you to connect a "More" button on this pop-up to a different screen. May or may not be what you mean? I agree that an updated / better / cooler Map Plugin would be great. One thing I wonder about is the soon to be released iOS 6. It could have a totally different map engine (no more Google maps maybe) and it could be that it's better to wait until after this release before brewing up a new map plugin. I realize it's iOS only for that issue but worth mentioning...it's kinda all related when you do a plugin that supports both. Do you now if the zoom issue is on all devices or only one type of device? And, lastly, what kind of device are you testing on?

Hi. pipers as in Bagpiper. bagpipe players available for hire for weddings, partys, attractions, Scottish nights etc. Testing on galaxy s2. Aware of ability to open another screen and currently using that function to open players webpage with. the only drawback is that this uses another screen and my account has a 100 screen limit. the ability to have a weblink inside the callout will eradicate the need for separate screens for each player. I expect within 12 months There could be hundreds of registered players so not possible to add them all with website link up. I'm pretty sure the map problem also happens on my HTC desire.
