102 errors what now?

ok so I got my first app into eclipse but I'm not 100% sure what to do next because it says 102 errors 145 warnings. Most of them say geopoint cannot be resolved to a point... theres more but hopefully one of you guys know the magic trick to resolve this quick so I can see my first in the emulator! BTW once I do resolve these issues do I just click run to make it work? Thanks for your help, Charlie

Hi @brokeneck, Those errors mean that you have not selected Google API 8 for your project. Check out this guide...shows you exactly how! http://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/buzztouch_For_Android-A_Users_Guide.pdf Mark

ok @GoNorthWest, I followed the guide and went to file-->properties-->android and checked the ticbox for google api's and it cleared all of the errors... the warnings are still there, should I be worried about those? also I got my app to load in the emulator and it opens directly to the map location screen and all there is is the pin on the grid, but the grid is blank?? and there are no nav buttons to explore any of the other screens I made. maybe time to go back and start from scratch huh? let me know what you think, and thamks a ton for your help it's really been invaluable! Hi Charlie, The warnings are OK...nothing to be concerned about at all. You can safely ignore them, as they won't prevent your app from compiling. In general, map tiles won't show up in the emulator, because (1) you need a Google Maps API key, and (2) the app has to be signed with your release keystore (the same one you use to generate the Google Maps key). But trust me that the location map plugin works, and when you're ready to test on a real device, using your release keystore, it'll work. What screen do you have set as your Home Screen in your control panel? Sounds like it should be the Menu List screen. Double-check that. Finally...give syncing up your configuration data file a shot to resolve not seeing stuff. Here's a video I did that shows how: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp2vL1XCPC0 That should hopefully take care of everything! Let me know if you still have issues. Mark

Mark, I am not sure where I went wrong this time, but about the menu screen not being designated as my home screen you were right, so I fixed that... but I could never get my application to refresh to show the change. so I was frusterated and I downloaded the source code all over again and I unpacked it in my folder and I deleted the old project out of eclipse then imported the new file, but now the darn thing won't open up in the emulator?? at first I clicked on the app icon and the old one opened up like it was cached in the emulator, so I uninstalled it and tryed to run again, but now I can't get it to reinstall the app?? hope you got the answer as easy as you did with my last cry for help... Thanks, Charlie
