Word Doc icon in emulator

I'm running the eclipse emulator and my app uses a word document. The emulator shows an "open with..." and the word icon is presented. I added the doc files to the BT docs in the eclipse package. How come the document doesn't show up? Is there another application that I need to install in order to run it in the emulator or can i use a different plug-in for text? Kevin

Your emulator is just like a real device. If there's no app to open / complete a task. . . So, add a app such as QuickOffice to the emulator. But, take note, no all devices have pre-loaded apps that can read your PDF docs Word docs Excel docs PPT docs So some of your users may not be able to see the doc you're embedding without downloading another app. HTML is readable by all devices. So if I save my file in word as an html, will that work? Yes, but just to be clear, you'll use the HTML Doc screen. You could also post Word doc online and use Custom URL screen. Fred

Fred - switched it over to html screen and now I have an error that says "error loading screen, the application had trouble understanding what to display". I saved my word document as a web page and reloaded into the eclipse BT docs. Did I miss something?
