Videofile is not deployed on iPhone after install

Another issue on a self hosted (2.0) application. Here's the situation: - I have a HTML file uploaded in the documents section of files - I have a video (mp4) uploaded in the video section The HTML file refers to the videofile with the following tag <embed src="ff.mp4" width="240" height="148"> </embed> After downloading the source files and opening the project in xcode I manually copy the directories (BT_video, BT_Docs) to the Xcode project and then manually copy the video en the HTML files those directories. So I see them in the xcode project....so far so good. I deploy the app on my iphone and the html page is loading, I can see the player but it won't play the vid. I checked with Ifile (jailbroken phone) and in the app directory there is no vid file (ff.mp4). The HTML file is present though. So obviously the html is inside the package but the vid file isn't Please help me out on this one. GJ

I manually added the video file tot the iphone's application dir and the problem was solved. So it's sure that this is about xcode and deploying the file during install. Anyone have a clue?

Hello Kyle, The solution is actually very simple. Xcode has some strange behaviour when it comes to mp4 files. Even though they're present in the BT_video section you have to add them manually to the Build Phases section. So in Xcode select your project in the left column. Click on 'TARGETS' in the column next to it and the info screen appears. Click on the 'Build Phases' tab and fold out the tab 'Copy Bundle Resources' This section shows all the items that will be copied to your mobile device. By clicking on the little + at the bottom of the section you can now manually add the mp4 files. That's all.....Xcode will now deploy the files on the mobiles device during installation. Cheers! Hope i made myself clear as english isn't my native language (as you allready found out probably).

GJvan I am having trouble getting my videos to play when the device is not connected to internet. Shouldn't the device be able to play without being connected to the internet if the video is bundled or am I missing something. Originally I set it up to play from a drop box URL address but then switched to downloading the video files. Could this be the problem? I see the files in the build phase copy bundle resources and in the output when running the simulator. Any other suggestions?

I'm not familiar with that plugin. Maybe you should contact the developer. I only know that when deploying the video files with your app it should work. Haven't tried downloading yet.
