Plugin Market Update

You'll be seeing some changes in a few places on the site in the coming hours. Most significantly is the newly created Plugin Market. Expect to see some other changes in your control panels and a few other places on the site that are necessary to support the market concept. General plan: 1) We show the plugin market: When this first happens, you'll see about 20 or so of the same plugins you're used to seeing. They will show as "installed" meaning you've already installed them in your control panels. We secretly installed them for you months ago! LOL. Nothing in this list of plugins is new but seeing them in the market will help folks realize "how it works." 2) When we're sure the market screens and some other details are worked out, we'll begin showing some newly created plugins offered by buzztouch community members. These could show up in the market in a few hours, or a few days, depending on some details that are unknown at this point. This process is far more complicated than it appears. Most of the complication is related to how your control panels work with "your" plugins. This is the first time that app owners will have the opportunity to "be different" than other app owners (not everyone will have the same plugins installed in their control panels) and this leaves tons of room for gotcha's we didn't expect. Fingers crossed on this one. Giggling. 3) All systems should be go before the weekend ends and we expect to be "in the clear" and adding new plugins often starting early next week. We'll be more bummed than you if we can't get at least some of these available in the next 24 hours. Hang in there, wherever you happen to be, changes are happening literally as we speak :-) I posted a comment that matches this post at the URL below (in case you see it too): http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=2C77CE2372832010E69E4E5

What a great ride Buzztouch is. I have only been a member for about a year but what an exciting year for the BT Community. David and his team continue to raise the bar. Mike
