Circle of Doom or Ugly Site

I would love to have someone help me out with this. I'm trying to get a URL to load as one of my "links" (essentially, I'm building a container for a web-application with additional features). I set up a "Custom URL" screen to load https://www.opendining.net/mobile/app/503c380645b2bee5220000a4. This displays a spinning circle in front of the content. I then tried changing the custom URL to "http://www.opendining.net/mobile/app/503c380645b2bee5220000a4" (NON-SSL). This allowed me to go completely through until I got to the last page, which would submit credit card data via SSL. This then gives me the Spinning Circle. Also unacceptable. Setting it in the "HTML Doc" plugin (same "https://www.opendining.net/mobile/app/503c380645b2bee5220000a4" address) gives a "Found" error with a redirect link. This link takes you to the "http://www.opendining.net/mobile/app/503c380645b2bee5220000a4" page (which works fine). Obviously, though, I don't want to see a redirect link. Using http://www.opendining.net/mobile/app/503c380645b2bee5220000a4 as the link in HTML Doc, however, renders the page really badly. I'm ABSOLUTELY lost. Any help?

First of all - as you described this as a "container for a web application" - i forsee issues with getting the app approved (if it is going to the Apple App Store) - as i have seen many an app that has been rejected for the resons of simply displaying something that can be displayed in the native browser. If it is android, well.. it is much easeier there, perhaps look at distributing it solely as a web app? or looking at the "Launch Native App" function to launch the page. Dave

Dave, Its a bit more complex than that - actually pulling together local features with multiple web features - but i cannot get it to work on the web feature. I do not want users leaving the application mid-stream; the other goal would be to complete the order and return them to the home screen of the application for other functions, such as account maintenance and communications. Can I use Launch Native App to launch the browser without really being visible? Otherwise, at least for this portion, I need to use one of the URL plugins. Jerry

This displays a spinning circle in front of the content. Are you referring to "the circle of death"? Fred

Fred - That spinning circle is the spinning circle of death. It doesn't appear when directly accessed through a browser, only appears through the Custom URL feature.
