Updating 1.4 app to 2.0

I have a 1.4 app. I made a 2.0 app and changed the package name to match the 1.4 app and uploaded to my Dev console for Android saved and published the update. My problem is that it isnt updating. Am I doing something wrong? Is this not possible? ANy help would be very appreciated. Title Comments Wasn't sure how to word the subject here but this is my problem. The app works fine when u manually install it but the update isnt appearing in the google play store. not sure if u were confused on that or not Comments Nothing happened.
