My experience with OSX says that it needs rebooting just as much as windows, esp if you are running XCODE. Safari, xcode and Photoshop all running at the same time - I notice a MAJOR performance hit. Open the finder and do a coverflow view to find artwork - OSX turns to molasses.... Have to reboot and start over, just like Windows...
