App looks fine in simulator, but move it to iphone and it turns to sdgkljafslfksdjfqwelkfelk

The apps content isn't showing up? I used BT2.0 - running on iOS, xcode 4.4.1 The bottom bar is there and the top one also, but none of the content from my custom html pages are coming through? If I change background colour the colour change will come through, but no content. Worked fine in the simulator. Anyone heard of anything like this? I have been around my application clicking save on lot's of things in an effort to trigger refreshes etc... but when I refresh, still no luck.

By bottom bar, do you mean the tabbar? If so i think that you have not set up the tab layout settings. Go to Manage Layout section on control panel---> Clivk on Tabbed Layout and set screens. Hope this might solve your problem.

Two interesting notes: I'm able to edit the BTv1.5 Custom HTML, Text screen using my Android devices. I'm not able to do so in the BTv2.0 Custom HTML /Text screen. In BTv1.5 (Android) background color selection has no effect. It does in BTv2.0. If you're iOS please test if same is true in BTv1.5 (iOS). Try the following sequence in the Custom HTML / Text screen: Save any advance properties. Save Source Code. See if the code displays. Fred

Hi guys, this seems to be quite buggy, It's letting the background color change etc... but not loading any of the content, and from what I've read, if I create a custom html screen then obviously that data should be loaded direct from BT (if I change it online, those changes should display) so why the content wouldn't load at all, seems weird...

It's the order in which you use the save buttons & or whether you have the html cached or not. Save the html content last (after any advance properties values). Exit app. Clear the app's cache. Then reopen and update app. It should show. Fred

When you say save the html content last, exit app, clear the app's cache, how do I do that from my phone? I've just made an .IPA file and put it on there, do I need to create a new IPA file?

I'm not sure for iPhone, but in Android I go to setting and there I can manage apps.

I must need a new ipa, because you cannot clear apple apps cache, perhaps I'll have to remove it and reinstall it... Thank you for the help. I'll update on how I go :)

Removing & reinstalling will accomplish it. Same .ipa should work. Fred

It's weird, I've tried removing, reinstalling. Still didn't work, If I make a change to the bottom nav menu (I'm using tabbed layout) I change label, and that change is displayed... But still my pictures aren't appearing in tabbed menu, nor the content for each page...

Regarding pictures, if embedding be sure to add to Xcode.

hmmm... I've added them all, but the html is using <img src="LINK ADDRESS"> which means I shouldn't need to put those images into x code, but it's not just the images? the words don't even appear? It's really strange but it's making me question the reliability of this service to be honest. :(

hmmm... I've added them all, but the html is using <img src="LINK ADDRESS"> Reminds me of someone that uses both a belt & suspenders. It seems to me that the sequence you've use was not as I recommended and the page is cached therefore you're not seeing modifications. Change screen options to force refresh Clear all the app's data (uninstall if you need to) Reinstall and refresh the app's data. The images will then magically appear (or perhaps they will appear because you followed the correct sequence and there's no magic involved) As for the reliability of the service you'll need to learn how it works to use it properly. Otherwise you'll continue to struggle and wonder if it's reliable. My online guide will help you. www.MySkylla.com Fred

I understand that and followed exactly what you said and it didn't work, I thought for additional information I'd explain the img src's But I'm just confused, I couldn't see any other way to input a picture into the custom html, other than writing that tag? I'll keep trying, I don't doubt it's a matter of user error though :) Thanks for your patience with me and the help :) I appreciate it :)

I use image src for images on the Custom HTML / Text Screen and yes that's probably the only current method. (There's a possibility of two other methods) If the images are not appearing it's due to: No internet connection Your app's Config file is not updated The page is cached and doesn't know to update. No internet? Make sure it's connected Config file is upto date? Make sure you update Page is cached? Simple test: add a word, if it (the added word) doesn't appear it's cached and not refreshing, if it (the added word) appears, but no image, your HTML is not correct or the URL is invalid

Why would it all work perfectly though on the simulator and not the iPhone is my biggest question... I'll have a play around and get back to you. Thank you. Kind regards, Michael.
