Installed Self Hosting, all went well, blank screen instead of log in

I tried to install the Self Hosting option earlier and all went well. Files uploaded, permissions set, created a DB, edited the cfg file, etc. etc. When I clicked the last link in the install to get to the sign in page - got a blank screen. Any ideas? For the moment I have deleted everything and will try another day. My best idea is old version of PHP on my dedicated server at RackSpace - is their a minimum requirements listed anywhere?

Sometimes a blank screen can mean that the script has run out of memory! That may or may not be your situation. However, try and find the log files /var/logs/php_error.log or /logs/php_error.log or /logs/apache_error.log , it depends on your host but you need to find where the error is occurring ... webserver error (apache logs), scripting error (php logs), database error (mysql logs)/ Hope this gets you a bit further down the track.

Thanks - yes - always a good idea to start with the error logs! I will try this next time I try an install - soon I hope.

Good! But don't blow away the whole install next time .. you may be able to nut out the smaller(?) issues you are having with what's in place? Just a thought :)
