Buttons not working in iOS

So I'm working on upgrading from 1.4 to 2.0 and am having a problem getting my buttons to work. For some reason it won't recognize any touch (click) input. I can't refresh, can't select an option. What am I doing wrong? What didn't I connect to tell it to execute those actions? Thanks in advance!

Did you read the instructions.pdf file? You need to copy the plugins folder (and others) into your project in Xcode. It's easy to miss this step. Not sure that's the issue, but it seems to be a common problem the first time someone used 2.0.

If the buttons are displaying on the screen then the class files must be there - even if the images themselves arent there, the "tap" function should still work - it sounds like maybe the app is halting.. I would run it in the simulator and at the moment it stops responding to touch, look at the output console and see if there are any messages displayed in relation to the halt. Sometimes when working through errors or warnings i am known to accidently create breakpoints without noticing it, and this will cause the app to halt at that point when launching or processing that screen, make sure you dont have any rogue breakpoints anywhere that may also be causing the app to stop. (in case you didnt know, these are indicated by blue arrows next to lines of code in Xcode) Hope this helps Dave

I've seen this happen when the configuration data files get out of sync. Here's a video on how you can sync the file from the server to your local copy. Then Product...Clean and build again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp2vL1XCPC0 Mark

@SkullyFox, there doesn't seem to be any errors that I'm getting. @GoNorthWest I replaced the file, but I'm still getting the same issue, tapping/click doesn't seem to work. I tried it with one of our older apps built in 1.4 and it works no problem. I did read the pdf and it told me to use ios5, currently I'm on ios 4.3. Could this be the problem? If so, will the apps not run on anything less than ios5? Thanks in advance guys!

Hi @MM2000, Very odd. Another thing you could try is delete the app from the simulator and build again. I don't believe iOS5 is required, though you would want to support the most currently available iOS version. When I build my apps, I set them for iOS 5 through iOS 3. Mark

Hey guys, I'm also getting question marks where my icon images (for the grid) should be. Do I need to manually put them in?

Yep. They should be in BT_Images.

@Mark I deleted the app from the simulator multiple times and have re-downloaded the app multiple times. I will try one more time. I would be happy to email you the source if needed. Thanks!

Issue was Splash Screen set in Global Theme, but no Splash Screen actually defined. Works now! Mark
