back button on android app

I have an android app that features an rss feed and a facebook page etc. my problem is that when someone uses the physical "back" button on the phone it kicks them off of the app, and then they have to sign on to it again. I have added a bottom nav bar (which plain just doesnt show up, although it does on the ios version) and also I have added a top right button and had it take the user back one screen but that doesnt really work either. any ideas? the apps name is LGBTown, it costs .99 cents but if you can help and want to see it I would be able to refund the .99 cents... I know this is alot ot ask for help but I thought id throw it out there.. Thanks Cole

I suppose the RSS Feed is the "home" screen, if so the back button has nowhere else 5I go. Bottom Nav Bar I believe is iOS only. " I have added a top right button and had it take the user back one screen but that doesnt really work either." Is the RSS Feed screen a home screen or not? (Please give app layout.) Fred

yes the rss feed screen is the home screen. When the user goes in to read a story lets say from the rss, when they hit the top right "rewind" button it takes them back a screen but not the screen where the menu tabs are at the bottom... so they are kinda stuck

The RSS Feed screen in BTv2.0 is iOS only. The RSS Feed screen in BTv1.5 (Android) doesn't work. So which screen are you using? Fred

When you created the app you chose a screen with which to display the RSS Feed. Which screen did you use. Fred

The problem is that you painted yourself into a corner. Everything is working as it should. By using the Right Bar Nav button you pointed the app to a screen that leads nowhere. You're biggest error is failing to understand Tabbed Layout. Read my Tabbed Layout article found in the Documentation section at www.MySkylla.com You could resolve this by pointing to the splash screen instead. (Add one of you don't already have one. ) Fred

Simple solution. In the BT_screen_customURL.java file, uncomment the following code. The Android hardware back button will work like a browser back button. Works perfectly. /* Hardware Back-Key, uncomment as needed. Uncomment this to make the hardware back-key act like a browser back button Warning: If you do this the user will need to go "back" the number of times they when "forward" to return to the previous screen. @Override public boolean onKeyDown(int keyCode, KeyEvent event){ if ((keyCode == KeyEvent.KEYCODE_BACK) && webView.canGoBack()){ webView.goBack(); return true; } //not the back-key.. return super.onKeyDown(keyCode, event); } */
