Can I have a html back button in a html document that goes back to a menu-list ....

Can I have a html back button in a html document that goes back to a menu-list? I have the home screen = Menu - List (1) First entry in Menu 1 = Menu - List (2) First entry in Menu 2 = HTML Doc When they are in the HTML Doc I want them to be able to go back to the Menu List 2 rather than go to the home screen and then click through again to get to the Menu2 second entry/topic. I don't want to use the native back button as it really doesn't suite the design at all, but that is what I want to replicate using html. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Christine

Android or iOS? I put together a plugin for Android that links from a webpage to the apps home screen. You're welcome to use/modify the code as you wish. https://buzztouchmods.com/downloads.php?cat_id=1&download_id=40 demo apk: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/56760890/webtoapp.apk

Hi Raveyd, Do you have any clues for iOS? Or maybe directions we can try to make it work. Cheers!

To accomplish this you must remember that in the HTML screens you're in WebView so a HTML Back button must use Intent (Android) or xxxxxx (iOS) as Raveyd's plugin does. To take one to a page other than the home page one needs to call not just the main activity but the activity of the individual plugin and the related JSON data. This isn't a how-to but a clue how-to. What @fred said! It turned out to be much more difficult than anticipated. In a regular android project, dead easy. Not so straightforward in a bt project. I'd recommend a search on stackoverflow.com for iOS implementation.

You can go from a Buzztouch menu to an html page, but the only way I know of going from an html page to a Buzztouch menu is to put a Buzztouch button on the navigation bar or the status bar i.e. above or below that page. Alan

Hmmm. Thanks for getting back to me. Maybe another approach. On other screen types there is the option to do a header and then select which page to go to when the header is clicked. That would also be a perfect solution. Do you think it would be possible to add a header to the html document type? Cheers Christine

Not possible without creating a new plugin that's part WebView + part nonWebview. Not sure it's possible. Fred

Hi guys, I've added a swipe view as a work around to that when I am in my view the user can swipe to the right and it will take them to the previous page. If you're interested you can read how I did it here. http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=F53086F5F9369431CF88A8B&fid=BC70C36A743CD4FAD95D17F&sortColumn=FT.id&sortUpDown=DESC&currentPage=1 Cheers Christine
