Android - Application permissions

My application does not use the internet connection, but in my tests (actual devices) require this permission. How to disable this and other requests, what is not necessary. Thanks

Just remove it from Android Permissions Panel? I include these requests or it´s generated automatically?

All unused permissions can be deleted from the manifest. Fred

never done it myself but yes I would assume so. sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. means you won't be able to update the app without releasing a new apk though. most apps require permission so no big deal to leave it in. you never know when you might decided to change something.

If you're going to have an offline app (doesn't hit the Report to URL for an update check), and the app has no network needs at all, then you would be fine commenting out those permissions. But, as @MrStuck says, if you will be updating your app via the buzztouch control panel, then you'll at least want to leave the network permissions in so they can access BT.com for updates. More information can be found here: http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/security/permissions.html Mark

Thanks Mark. About the updates from BT, only for screens, right? How can I do to update the content (new pages, images, etc)?

Well, it can be screens with content, so long as the content (images, docs, etc) are referenced via a URL (which is possible in many screens). But, if you want to include the content with the app, then you have to create an app update and submit it to the appropriate store. Mark

another point is you may want to add Revmob etc to make money with ads. but this requires you add wifi permissions etc
