Marketing Disadvantages

Hi guys I would really appreciate if you could help me slightly with some skillful marketing tips that may come in to use for a developer like myself who is not situated in the U.S and would like to just make people aware of my application in general. I have made Facebook Fan pages for my approved apps. Any suggestions will be great. Thanks in advance

Google+ would be another good method! I prefer it over Facebook. Mark

Also Twitter, youtube (make a short video to explain what the apps do) could be a bite helpful I guess.

Become a trusted member of forums related to the apps niche, after a while post something like "hey guys, look what I've found!"... Alternatively, make it clear you're the dev and include a link in your forum signature. - Not as effective. Linkedin. Youtube - stuff keywords, include link in description. Use various free tools to get likes, comments and ratings to get further up the search results. Pinterest. Twitter - takes up too much time though. Pearltrees.

Another buzztouch community member, @Raoul runs a site called freeappmonster.com and has posted a few idea over the past few months. Maybe have a look at his site (not sure how far it's come, haven't seen it in awhile) and see if you can post a blurb about your app there? When Googling for idea...try "App discovery services" - tons of options. Some paid, some free, it's a matter of digging around a bit and planning a strategy.

Don't forget pinterest, post your app screen shots and make a pin board for your new app. Pinterest is up and growing social media. Use something that is growing.

I have done press releases with PR Mac and have had some press coverage. For one app I made a video trailer, and that really helped.
