Rejected MyGrowLog BT app

Hi guys, so basically I have a mobile website called http://www.mygrowlog.com and I used BT's Custom URL plugin to display this website in the app. I was able to submit it to Google Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mygrowlogandroidlite) but it got rejected in iTunes. Is there any way that I can do to get my app approved in iTunes? Here's iTunes rejection letter: Binary Rejected Aug 16, 2012 01:38 PM Reasons for Rejection: 2.12: Apps that are not very useful, are simply web sites bundled as apps, or do not provide any lasting entertainment value may be rejected 10.6: Apple and our customers place a high value on simple, refined, creative, well thought through interfaces. They take more work but are worth it. Apple sets a high bar. If your user interface is complex or less than very good it may be rejected Aug 16, 2012 01:38 PM. From Apple. 2.12 We found that the experience your app provides is not sufficiently different from a web browsing experience, as it would be by incorporating native iOS functionality to provide a more robust user experience. While your app content may differ from your web site or other existing sites, the experience it provides does not differ significantly from the general experience of using Safari, as required by the App Store Review Guidelines. We've attached screenshots to help explain this issue. You may wish to provide convenient access to a web property for a select or niche group of users - and may have enhanced that experience with features such as Push Notifications, Core Location, and/or sharing features. However, these features do not provide a robust enough user experience to be appropriate for the App Store. If you wish to provide quick access to a web property, you may wish instead to provide instructions to your users on how to create a Safari web clip to add to their iOS device Home Screen. Or, if you would like to share the app with a select group of users, we recommend the Ad Hoc distribution method. See the iOS Provisioning Portal for details on Ad Hoc Distribution. We encourage you to review your app concept and evaluate whether you can incorporate additional features to enhance the user experience. If you cannot - or choose not to - revise your app to be in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines, you may wish to build an HTML5 web app instead. You can distribute web apps directly on your web site; the App Store does not accept or distribute web apps. 10.6 We found the user interface of your app is not of sufficient quality to be appropriate for the App Store. Apps that provide a poor user experience are not in compliance with the App Store Review Guidelines. Specifically, we noticed your app included: poorly organized navigation stuttering page transitions lacking platform integration lacking core iOS integration We believe it is always best for you to determine what features are best for your users. However, please keep in mind Apple and Apple customers place a high value - and have high standards - for the user interface and the experience an app provides. Apps should be engaging and exciting, enabling users to do something they couldn't do before; or to do something in a way they couldn't do before or better than they could do it before. Focusing on a primary problem to solve or need to fulfill, apps should include a feature set that intuitively and comprehensively addresses those needs and exceeds users' expectations. And apps should be specific to the iOS platform to take the fullest advantage of the iOS in delivering a robust user experience. Please evaluate whether you can make the necessary revisions to improve the user experience of your app.

I know that integrating a little quiz and a few more active elements have helped other users

What I would advise is to utilise some of BT functionality to make it more an app than just a web link. It could have a fun quiz on the subject your site covers, could have gallery or video embedded in the app. Something that makes the app standalone rather than just a conduit to your website

Rough, but Apples logic here is that there is no difference between your app or just making an icon on your phone to access a website. Whe they test your app, the disconnect it from the web to see what kind of off-line experience the user has. Your app would basically do noting in the scenario. (That *would* make a great local ios storage project, but you'd be writing a LOT of code) So you need to make it do something when they take it off-line. Add some of the basic features as suggested above. Photo gallery is a MUST for that app. Maybe an RSS feed of NORML news. Package a few PDF of some folks set-ups/suggestions and reccomended equipment. Maybe a LOCATION MAP to garden suppliers? Some info on local and state laws? Sites like NORMAL full of docs and stuff to use. Davids BUG game he posted last week would be good entertainment for users of this app LOL. Grab a couple of Spider Mite images to splat!
