Initial download of all information?

Hi! I'm making an app that I would like to keep in Online mode, but I want the app to download app data initially to the device, that way the user doesn't have to be online the first time they access a page. Is this possible? Thanks, ~JonaK

Hi, This has been discussed once before in the forum, and there's no way for an app to download all the online content (content not included with the app) before they have accessed it for the first time. You either need to include the content with the app, or have accessed it at least one time (thus caching the content) if it's to be available offline. Mark

Hmmm... My app is composed of menus and PDFs (which are included in the app). Will all those be available offline from the start?

The menu's will be, because they're defined in your BT_Config.txt file. All screens will be available, unless the content is linked to a URL. Any content you include in your app, like a PDF or HTML Doc or Image, will be available offline as well. But if you have, say, a Menu List with five items, each linked to a URL, the menu itself would be available offline, but the resources each menu item link to would not, unless they have been viewed once and cached. Make sense? Give this a read as well...it describes what the config file is all about: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=CA595CCBE4EAD2F86FDA682 Mark

....How would I put an image in a v2.0 app? I don't see anything whatsoever to do so.

Depends on where you want to put it! You can create an image gallery if you want to go that route. Various screens, in the Advanced Properties section, have the ability to put a background image. If you are doing HTML, you can use the standard <img src="image.jpg"> coding, and just put the image, along with the HTML doc, in assets > BT_Docs for Android, or BT_Docs for iOS. Or you can just use a URL to the image. Mark
