What is a good PDF reader for Android?

Hi All, I was wondering if there is a good PDF reader that works with BT 2.0 for Android. What I am trying to resolve is when a user taps on a PDF screen in a menu list, for it to open, instead of saying "Open with which app?" and then a list of apps that do not appear to read PDFs comes up. Thanks, Jake

I think you shouldn't worry about that. My phone didn't have a PDF reader. I got one from the market. My tablet came with a PDF reader that I don't use. I use QuickOffice. Your app users will choose their own. Fred

Adobe Reader is available in Google Play, and is of course the industry standard reader. Most newer versions of Android have a PDF reader installed already. You can also install an apk into your Emulator for testing. Check out this video I did on the subject: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ohlah9xTv0 Mark

Is it possible to bundle one with an app. For example, when my app installs, for it to also install a PDF reader also?

Bundling seems unlikely: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5283775/bundle-multiple-apps-in-one-app But I do agree with Fred. Either a reader will already be installed, or they should choose one they like. I don't think it'll reduce your install base by having that requirement. In your app description, you could make a note that indicates a PDF reader is required, and perhaps provide a link to an app in Play that they could install. Mark

To bundle one you could search for a PDF API, but I really like QuickOffice and probably wouldn't like your choice. Fred

So what does this error mean? "The application [app name] (process com.[appname]) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." This happens when I try to play the quiz.

I was wondering if it is possible to rename the "Open With..." button in the PDF reader plugin with Android BT2.0.

In the res > values > strings.xml file you'll find these: <string name="openWithWhatApp">Open with which app?</string> <string name="openWith">Open with...</string> You should be able to change them to whatever you want. Mark

Can I change Custom HTML/Text information in the BT_Config.txt? If not, how would I without using the BT control panel?

The Custom HTML/Txt code is stored on the buzztouch.com server (or your own BT Server). I think it would be difficult to edit it without using the control panel. You could use an HTML file via URL, put it on DropBox, and edit it that way. Mark

Is there a way to change the url (to point it to an HTML document on my own server) of it in the BT_config.txt?

If you use an HTML screen, you have the option of specifying a URL to an HTML document. That would be the best way to go. Then you can use the editor of your choice to modify the HTML doc. Mark

When my app refreshes, it crashes. How would I resolve this? (BT 2.0)

Need more information than that! If you are running in debug mode, through Eclipse, what sort of output do you see in LogCat? Does anything get written to the screen that would help us determine why it crashes? Android crashes if you sneeze wrong, so there are lots of things it could be.

This is what happens: The BT_config file included with the project is up-to-date. It still asks me to refresh. Then it says: "Sorry! The application [app name] (process com.[app name]) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." LogCat looks fine, it just says that no refresh is needed.
