Play list screen possible?

Hello! I am hoping to add a screen that has a list of recordings that the user can then click on to play. I am developing for android. Any ideas of the best way to do this? Does anyone know of a plugin that could help? THANK YOU

Hi @mumkinG, Welcome to buzztouch! This is totally possible, and actually quite easy. My suggestion would be to use the Menu List plugin to create the list of recording, and then link that menu item to the method you want to play it. Might be a simple HTML screen with embedded audio, or something more fancy. But the list part should be fairly simple. Mark

As Mark mentions the Menu (list) is an option. Your you're iOS BuzztouchMods.com has a plugin with icons. If you're not iOS, you may wish to consider using a html doc to create the list. Fred

Mark- Thank you so much, don't why I didn't think of that. Still very new to buzztouch and developing in general. I was hoping there would be a way to embed the mp3s in the application itself, but it seems the HTML screen is the best way to go. Would you recommend the HTML doc or Custom HTML/Text screen to put the mp3 in? I have never made either beofore and am researching how to do so now. Thank you so much for responding! Fred- Right now I'm working on an android app right, so I will consider the HTML doc. I have never made one before, so I will look into that. Thank you so much for responding!

Hi, I'd recommend the HTML doc if all the information is going to be fairly static. And you can bundle the mp3 file with the app itself as well. Once you get comfortable with HTML, I think you'll easily see how it's done with the <a href> tag. Mark

HTML Doc is usually a better option IMO but each has it's due. Online / embedded ? I would think that starting out you would be better off having the doc online for ease of modifying & updating, but again each has it's due. Would suggest that you look up jQuery Mobile Fred

Here's one way to do it with HTML: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_sounds.asp And another, this time using HTML5: http://www.allwebco-templates.com/support/S_script_music.htm And a couple others: http://www.thesitewizard.com/webdesign/backgroundmusic.shtml http://www.htmlf1.com/tutorial/html-background-music.html You'd absolutely want to test any of these methods, because the webView that apps use is slightly different than a standard browser, so your results may vary. Using html you can make any list. Using the appropriate player you can play video. Fred
