simulator only up to 4.3

hi,i used a different building paltform for 1 year, without the need to use xcode,so i don't know it too much. i built an app with bt,i compiled with xcode, but the simulator goes up to ios 4.3.3 . is it because i used the bt version 1.5 and not the 2? i used the 1.5 because with the new one i cannot create screens for rss and image gallery and video gallery... thanks

Hi, you need to upgrade your xcode.

@Coderx is correct. The simulator is tied to the SDK level that you have installed in Xcode. Update your Xcode, and you'll get the most recent version of the simulator available for your OS X version. Mark

You will need to upgrade your Xcode. This may not be possible if you are running Snow Leopard but if so, just upgrade to Mountain Lion, and if you can't get Mountain Lion, you will just have to go with the version of Xcode you have got. It won't matter which Buzztouch you use, because I use 1.5 for building my apps, but that still works with iOS 5.1. Buzztouch 1.5 even works with the iOS 6 simulator so the version of Buzztouch won't affect anything. Annandale Apps,

I'm running snow leopard at home and office with 4.2 (and the latest 5.1SDK). I'm sure many more members on here are as well. If you have snow leopard you can run the latest SDK. Here's how: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9613565/is-is-possible-to-get-the-ios-5-1-sdk-for-use-with-xcode-4-2-on-snow-leopard/9613774#9613774

Interesting hack, @coderx! Thanks for digging that up. The guy at Apple sounded the death knell for this when I posted on their forum. At least we can move up to iOS 5.1 support...though I suspect we're still out of luck for iOS 6. Mark

@GoNorthWest Anytime :). Yeah Apple wants people to upgrade to the latest and greatest as always. They dont like hacks. haha. I haven't looked or tried to get iOS6 SDK going on SL. But might have to soon, I personally don't want to change OS's and xcodes. Have way too many custom setups, etc. I'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat, here's hoping we can load the latest SDK :)

I would have no problem moving to Lion or Mountain Lion if my hardware supported it! But, I have an older (as in 2009) Mac mini, and Snow Leopard is the last thing that will run on it. So, I'm kinda stuck. I am a bit miffed that they tie Xcode into hardware like that. Pretty bogus if you ask me! Mark

if i used a different web service to build an app,one year old, with a different bundle identifier(pointing to the server where the app is hosted)can i update my app using the new generated one from buzztouch, that has in this case a new bundle identifier?or i have to delete the old app from app store and star from scratch?
