Outputting user location information

Hi there I have decided to play around with iOS apps despite the fact that my most recent programming experience was in BASIC on my ZX Spectrum about 25 years ago. I have a simple menu based app and a location screen that shows my current location, quite happy with that. I also have an email form setup and the idea was to check your location and add it to the email. I would prefer if I could output my X,Y or Lat,Long from the location map screen to an email template. Is this possible? (and relatively straightforward for a total newcomer?) Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @bythorsnowdog, Welcome to buzztouch! This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but it might give you a push in the right direction. It's a tutorial on posting your devices location to a database. With some minor tweaks, I'm sure you could modify it to add the lat/long to an email template. http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=6A0E0F30B5413FF704B3A04 Give it a read and post back if you have any other questions! Thanks for the link, will check it out. Thinking more on my coordinates issue, I really only need them to be displayed and be copy and pasted if possible. Some more thinking required...

Hey bytorsnowdog how did you get on with this one? I'm wanting to do the same thing.
