Nice one. The last tech company I worked at had around 50 employees of which only 4 were ladies. 3 of my lecturers at college were female which was a high percentage for back then. If we'd had more females in the banking sector we probably wouldn't have suffered like we did. Look at the new Yahoo CEO, she gets the gig and most of the first articles to appear just commented on how would a mother cope with the job. Bizarre, strange unequal world we all live in. @Fred & @MacApple: Thanks @MacApple Thanks for sharing the article. I hope my article inspires more women to enter the tech field. If I would have known how fun creating apps could be, I would have changed my college major 12 years ago (before apps were even invented)! :-) It is an unfair world, but I love when women overcome the challenges (or perception of challenges) that we face. :-)

That is absolutely wonderful! What a great article. There are a lot of women in the buzztouch community....not 50%, but a lot more than I see at other technology venues. The app is great too, so that is a great reflection on our buzztouch and our community.

Thanks, everyone! @SkullyFox. I owe my success to the Buzztouch community. A year ago I didn't even think I could create an app until I discovered Buzztouch. :-). Now, back to tackling Eclipse. :-)

@st726. Yes, that was me! :-) Thanks for sharing the link. I joined Geekdom, because I was spending way to many hours in front of my computer without human face-to-face contact. :D Geekdom filled my void. I think it is really cool that a lot of these Buzztouch Meetup groups are forming, because I think we have all felt that need for human contact with people that understand our passion for technology. :-)
