I've run into a problem while validating my app in Xcode

After I validate my app on Xcode, it says there is a problem on it. I hope to get this app going for approval today (as I am on holiday next week and I want to get it approved while away). The one problem that comes up reads: iPhone/iPod Touch: application executable is missing a required architecture. At least one of the following architectures(s) must be present: armv6 Does anyone know how to get around this problem? Would this affect the approval? If not, should i just send it anyway? Thanks,

Hey buddy, there are a few good threads on armv6 if you search the forum, many have had that issues, myself included. I'll not go into all the details here and now but if you search forum for armv6 you'll fin the two minute fix, trust me and good luck. Post back again if you don't get it and enjoy the holiday, good or the soul!

Thanks for the recommendation. I can't do anything right now for a few hours because I am now out. I can't do a team viewer session right now, but maybe in a few hours, if that is ok. Thanks guys. I'll search on the forums after I get back from my walk.

This doc in the How-To section also addresses this issue: http://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Common_Apple_Errors_and_Solutions_v1.0.pdf Mark

Hi, Thanks you guys, I have done the steps provided by the link and that went nice and easily. I have gone through validation and this time no errors came up. Thanks all you guys, But there is one more question I want to ask, how long does it normally take for the app to be uploaded. It's been 5 minutes now and no progress has been made. I don't know how long it will take as this is my first app.

Happy days! BT forum to the rescue again. How big is the app you are sending in? What stage is it sitting at? All the bet with the submission, remember my first well, sweet sweet day.

well, it is still stripy. I think maybe I made something wrong along the way. It is still doing the moving stripes thing even after 30 minutes. I think I should cancel it and maybe delete the app from iTunes Connect and start all over. Maybe it might be something I did wrong in iTunes Connect.

Hi guys, Thanks all of you for your help. Without you guys I don't think I could do it so a huge thanks from me. It turned out that iTunes Connect was going through a website rebuild so it was down for a few hours, which meant during that time, Xcode would not load my app. Anyway, all is well and it went through the validation and submission without another problem, which is fantastic news. All I have to do is wait for the email: Your application has been approved. Still, while Apple decide to approve my app, I'll be out and about on a trip. I will post a link on this thread to my app, once authorised, so you guys can really see what all the trouble was about. Again, I give a massive thank you to all of you who have helped me this far. It is now in the hands of Apple.

Brilliant! So happy it was something like that, bizarre. Enjoy your trip and when you return you'll be a published iOS developer!

Hi guys, I came back from my trip a few days ago, but still no reply from Apple. It has been a week and a half since I press the button for submission. I am getting a little worried now. Does it normally take Apple this long to approve it. My app says Waiting for Review in iTunes Connect. What have your experiences been? How long did Apple take to approve (or reject) your app from when you submitted your app to iTunes Connect?

Hi Buzztouch, My app got approved as soon as I posted my last status. Anyway, the app won't be on the app store for up to 24hours, but only for the search. If you want a download link, here's one: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/berlitz-oxford/id552822776?ls=1&mt=8 Thanks ,
