I am new to Android and Buzztouch, AVD Error with Eclipse when trying to load first project...

This is the error I get when I try to load the "BasicAndroid" AVD I created using the target Google APIs, platform 2.2 API level 8. I cannot run (simulate) my first app in the AVD. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Also, I have lots of warnings in the project explorer. I fear I may not have the right libraries loaded (I tried to add them all in the Android SDK manager. Lots of warnings on BT modules, but not all. First error window loading AVD: Starting emulator for AVD 'BasicAndroid' 2012-08-12 10:37:44.258 emulator-arm[1446:f07] Warning once: This application, or a library it uses, is using NSQuickDrawView, which has been deprecated. Apps should cease use of QuickDraw and move to Quartz. Aug 12 10:37:44 Greg-MacBook-Pro.local emulator-arm[1446] <Error>: The function `CGSFlushWindow' is obsolete and will be removed in an upcoming update. Unfortunately, this application, or a library it uses, is using this obsolete function, and is thereby contributing to an overall degradation of system performance. Please use `CGSFlushWindowContentRegion' instead. Then when I try to start it again, it starts but with this error window: Starting emulator for AVD 'BasicAndroid' WARNING: Data partition already in use. Changes will not persist! WARNING: Cache partition already in use. Changes will not persist! 2012-08-12 10:42:44.824 emulator-arm[1532:f07] Warning once: This application, or a library it uses, is using NSQuickDrawView, which has been deprecated. got an update on the Andoid SDK libraries, not sure what it was, only that there was an update. I got my first app to load in the AVD after that... lots of errors. I need to work on my app in the BuzzTouch tool, then download it again. Should I delete the workspace items, then download the source code again, open the project up like a new project? of will unzipping the source file overwrite everything? How should I update the source code for eclipse? Thanks, Led

Unzipping will overwrite everything if you unzip on top of your current source code. You don't need new source code, so it's not a problem. Read my article The Buzztouch Process and it'll help you though the process. www.MySkylla.com Fred
