Question about self hosting / account plans

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie so sorry in advance if the question is lame. I am a bit confused about the different accounts bt is offering. As far as I understand (please let me know if this is not correct) upgrading my account would allow me more views and screens per app. I think I understand the concept of screens per apps. However, I don't understand the concept of views per app. It is not downloads from the store is it? Then what is a trigger for an incremental view of the app? As I understand it, it would be each time a user pulls data from bt servers, implying bt hosts my app, but I'm not sure about it. 1) Is it possible to prevent the app content from being in the cloud, for example a text app with 100% of the content offline. Do such apps exist? Is the content in the cloud by default with bt? 2) I have seen it is possible to self host my own app. In this case, does it mean I would have infinite views without needing to upgrade my bt account? 3) Since bt provides me with the actual code of my app, can I increase the number of screens if I submit and host my app myself? Thanks for your help, and sorry in advance if my questions sound weird. Bt looks like a seriously good app builder!

Welcome to buzztouch!! Most of these questions are answered in the "How To's" section of the website! Also, I suggest viewing all of the current BT Learning Path videos. As an extra bonus, the member Stobe has created a Buzztouch Podcast where, in episodes 5 & 6, he covers the very questions you are asking about! If you need more help, please search through the forums as most of the questions you have asked are answered there as well. Again, welcome to Buzztouch!!! BTW, it may sound like I am, but I have no affiliation with the Buzztouch team...except for that I think Buzztouch ROCKS!!!

It is not downloads from the store is it? No, it's not. Then what is a trigger for an incremental view of the app? As I understand it, it would be each time a user pulls data from bt servers, (Yes) implying bt hosts my app, (No) but I'm not sure about it. Your correct, sorta. Buzztouch hosts the Online Config file. The binary will be on the app store you release to. 1) Is it possible to prevent the app content from being in the cloud, for example a text app with 100% of the content offline. Yes Do such apps exist? Yes Is the content in the cloud by default with bt? Yes, default means you can change it. 2) I have seen it is possible to self host my own app. In this case, does it mean I would have infinite views without needing to upgrade my bt account? Yes 3) Since bt provides me with the actual code of my app, can I increase the number of screens if I submit and host my app myself? Yes (You would need to use a Secondary Online Config file. )

Thanks guys. @Dkeller: I agree I haven't spent enough time on the doc :) @Fred: Thanks for the time you have taken to answer my questions, much appreciated. I will definitely give bt a try as it looks like a great environment. PS: Myskylla seems very helpful too!
