Copy and paste an image into the Custom HTML - Text page...

Hello When i copy an image from the internet and i paste it into the "Custom HTML - Text" page, the image appears on it, but where is the image saved? Because I do not have to add it to the BT_Images, so i dont understan that. QUESTION 2: If that image gets erased from the website I took the image, the image in my app will be erased too? thanks a lot

When i copy an image from the internet and i paste it into the "Custom HTML - Text" page, the image appears on it, but where is the image saved? You're apparently just copying & pasting a link to the image, not the image itself. Your link is saved to the server hosting the Control Panel you're using. QUESTION 2: If that image gets erased from the website I took the image, the image in my app will be erased too? Correct, but worst yet would be if they were to replace an image with inappropriate content. Link carefully. Fred

It is best to host images that you use so that you maintain control. You could copy them to a dropbox or similar location and link to them there. Alan

You can also copy the image (not link) and uploaded it to the Control Panel using the File Manager. Then click on the file grab a link and use the link on the app. Advantage is that the image will be in the apps file so you don't have to go looking for it later. (Perhaps much later, when you're trying to figure out where did I save that image.)

Do you mean that you're hotlinking images from other websites? I apologise if you're not, but if you are, ensure you have the site owners permission. It's bandwidth, and possibly intellectual property, theft otherwise. As Fred says, if a webmaster detects bandwidth theft many will replace the images with inappropriate ones. I know I do.
