Custom HTML / Text Plugin Updated

I posted an update to the Custom HTML plugin. It had an issue in self hosted installs that's been troubling us and others for a very long time. Figured I would just put everything else aside for a few hours and just fix the darned thing! The issue was related to the "order" in which the SAVE buttons where used. Previously, if you entered some HTML or Text, then saved, then adjusted an advanced property, then saved again, the HTML / Text would go missing, gone, see ya. If you saved an advanced property first, then the HTML, all would be good. So, it's fixed, updated, and ready to be downloaded. For self hosters, use the "Check for Updates" on the Manage Plugins screen. If you're is running v1.0, update it to v1.1.

@David you rock, thanks for setting aside those hours for us - we know you've been really busy with the release of the plugin creator tool so it's really appreciated. Those who need a direct link to the most updated version: ###EDIT I removed the direct download link URL @MrDavid posted here so users use the download link in their control panels. We've recently changed this URL and would prefer users use the link in their control panels instead. It delivers the same file but saves us a ton of bandwidth :-) ###END EDIT Cheers! This update will be a real boon and much appreciated by those of us who keep forgetting to do that last save. I'm looking forward to trying it Thanks, Alan

My server didn't update - as admin, go to manage plugins, then refresh - that is right isn't it? Alan

@Alan would recommend you remove the old plugin, and download the new version, upload, THEN do what you just did. Cheers, David buzztouchmods.com

CHi David, I don't see a link to do a direct download on the control panel. Are you referring to the link you posted earlier that was removed?

Yup, find it in your account: http://www.buzztouch.com/account/plugins.php Search for the "Custom HTML / Text" button, click it, and at the top right there should be a download link named: "Download Self Hosted Version". Cheers, David buzztouchmods.com

Oh your the guy that I'm talking back and forth on email! Refreshing the plugins I believe updates the system with new information that is grabbed from the source files. Like version updates. If your talking about refreshing from our recent emails, that re-downloads the configuration file from your control panel into the app, thus giving you the latest changes from your control panel. You've been downloading new source codes for every change in the control panel - which isn't needed! I would recommend you do the Android Learning Path here: http://www.buzztouch.com/account/btu.php Cheers, David buzztouchmods.com

Thanks David, but I am not the person you think I am!. I did email you once and sent you my shake detection code for a potential plugin about 6 weeks ago, but we haven't communicated since. Alan

I'm sorry - I was looking at another Alan that I was talking to today and totally mixed both of you up when you mentioned refreshing! I think I need to take a break. Hope I got your answer regardless, heh! Cheers, David buzztouchmods.com

Actually, I wanted to attach that to the shake code @broomla gave out, so, when shaking, not only would the buttons, or list menu, or icons shake, but it would shake upon detection and launch a specified screen! I was able to do this, but not able to connect it to the control panel. It activates a specified screen, but the screen has to be specified within the code - very troublesome for people who don't know what to do there. I'm hoping when I have more free time when not working with clients to use the plugin creator tool to finish that up and offer for free (since your code and broomla's code was offered free, shouldn't make a profit from it). I'll keep you updated via email (I'll need you for testing!), don't want to take over @david's thread here :) Cheers, David buzztouchmods.com

Hi, I'm building an app in 1.5 and my html keeps dissapearing. Is it the same thing? Pulling my hair out here. I type everything in the source. Hit save > click on the source button to see what it looks like and there is nothing there. When I click on the source button again it has html from about 10 saves ago and I can't get rid of it. Thanks for any guidance. Christine
