In app loyalty rewards card - Any suggestions or ideas?

I have been trying to figure out a way to include some type of loyalty rewards card in my app. I envision it working something like this. App user enters a business and then they scan a QR code or something similar and the app keeps track of the number of times they have visited and eventually they get a reward. Are there any web service that offer this ability to track individually users my scanning a QR code or GEO fencing, etc? I'm open to any suggestions. I know this is a long shot, but I figure it can't hurt to ask.

@ThomasB - I don't know if this is a dumb question, I know nothing about xcode, does Passbook have an sdk or can it be integrated into apps? I think the equivalent for Android is Google Wallet?

Agreed Passbook was made just for this. And look at Belly Card - that was made by a local teenager @ here and is great. But I don't like how it "has" to be tied to a Debit Card. (I do like the young girls that they have placed on street corners handing these cards out trying to promote it, I must have like 20 of them...) You could look at GOOGLE Wallet now. Google wallet being WEB BASED means it would work on both IOS and Androind apps. It's getting revamped now as i'm sure they are playign with the Passbook BETA code. I'd also been looking at Appoxee but that is still in BETA and only IOS currently. For sure some kind of image on phone that is the 'loyalty' card is key, People loose cards/coupons all the time. Groupons on the phone is big, we've used those. Printed Groupns - I loose them and never have them when you need.
