Error when opening Screen/Action

Hi, I have BT hosted on my own server and I'm pretty sure it's all configured correctly. I've even uploaded all of the standard plugins. I have created some "screens" however when I click on any of them to try and edit them, I get the following error message: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. The link this occurs at is here: http://simplyweb.me/BT-server/files/plugins/bt_screen_splash/?appGuid=EA2C73CCD543E2A7D20C5F312&BT_itemId=827585BE926C97C3A782FAD&searchInput=search...&appGuid=EA2C73CCD543E2A7D20C5F312&sortColumn=I.modifiedUTC&sortUpDown=DESC&currentPage=1&viewStyle=gridView&searchPluginTypeUniqueId= Can anyone help? :(

I've now tried this via FTP upload and an upload from the BT control panel! No luck :(

I don't know if it would give an internal server error for other directories, but you look to have an additional directory level for the bt_screen_customURL plugin you installed: http://simplyweb.me/BT-server/files/plugins/bt_screen_customURL/bt_screen_customURL/ should be: http://simplyweb.me/BT-server/files/plugins/bt_screen_customURL/ Looks like you might have ftp'd the containing folder too. No idea if that would help if it's fixed...

Ahh yes, thanks. I have amended this so the new link would read http://simplyweb.me/BT-server/files/plugins/bt_screen_customURL/. I have tried unzipping the plugins and uploadinmg them directly with FTP (and tested CHMOD to see if it makes a difference). I have now also tried uploading the zipped plugin files via the control panel..... I STILL can't get it to work! Do I need the self hosted API to use the plugins?

Ahhh.... after a lot of Googling I finally found the answer.... The /files directory needs to be CHMOD 755 and not 777. Simply changing that has fixed this :)

755 is the new 777! 777 can open security holes. A lot of hosting providers - especially shared hosting - don't allow it, but if it's the only way for you to make it work, then fair enough.
