Playing Movie Locally

howdy all, Creating a short app to play a movie. The movie is small and I'd like it within the app, rather than having to download it from the interweb. What it's looking like is that the easiest thing to do is just embed the movie into an HTML5 page and sticking the video in the BT_video folder? Does that sound about right?

you can use a "Streaming Video" screen (if you're using a v1.5 app). Otherwise, the HTML5 is probably a good option.

Ive also experienced trouble getting this to work using a relative URL I have tried both the <video> tag and also <a href></a> but my app just wont recongise local files (bar images). I would also be interested to hear a fix for this.

also check out JPlayer - I was using that until I made a plug-in for a single video player in 2.0 Self Hosted. Still expanding that. But I really liked some of the features in Jplayer MORE than the ios player. LOVED the banner 'preview' screen for movies Jplayer uses. some good posts here to use jplayer in BT if you search forums.
