Hey everyone, this is my first time building a legit app. I'm not sure how the menu screens look because I can't see it. How do I link soundcloud to my music plugin. I made the screen for it, but I am so confused on what happens next. I'm a newbie.

Soundcloud a web based music site. You would need to link the page via a custom url link. 1. log into your souncloud account 2. copy that url when your music resides and paste it into the custom url link. Thats it.

Custom url screen plugin will fetch the file from the url you provide. If you make any changes in your soundcloud account page, the app will fetch that link with all its updates. So, in essence your app will get updated too.

No actually not exactly. If the file the URL links to is cached than the cached info will be used. Don't know if the file the SoundCloud URL links to will cache or not. Fred

They do not cache. I currently use soundcloud in one of my apps and it refreshes my apps screen everytime I update the soundcloud site. @Cole, FYI, if your intention is to only use soundcloud as your music resource, apple will reject you submission.

And do I insert it in the Data URL?

You have two options . You can either use the streaming audio option and embed the mp3 file into the app or use a URL and fetch the Song from a server such as dropbox to save some space in the app. Here's is how to do it: 1. Add a menu list. This will be your playlist 2. Add steaming audio plugin to the menu list. One song per plugin and name it. 3. Open plugin and associate file name within. Example- scream.mp3 4. Drag the .mp3 file you just entered into your Xcode project under the BT_audio folder. This is now embedded into the app. Or 5. Just enter the song file URL that resides on your server in the URL section of the plugin. Remember one or the other not both. Hope this helps.
