I have created a simple app of menus and html docs. The docs are created and uploaded into the files of buzztouch as well as in the assets of the apk. It works fine on the different androids that I tested it on. Others are now installing it and a few have this problem. When selecting the html link they just get a blank black screen. If we use the zoom you sort of see flashes of the doc. Any ideas on what could be wrong, please? cheers

Hi, This is an interesting issue. Can you find out from your users what versions of Android they are experiencing these problems on? It would be nice to see if there is a trend. Mark

This is the app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nz.whhscontact It is available for NZ only. The 2nd screen shows the menu, when selecting Term Dates the 4th screen should be shown. It has worked fine on the testing that I have done. It is compiled as Android 2.2 not Google as I don't need any of the map functions. I have seen the issue but don't know why it is happening. cheers

Got it running on Gingerbread (HTC HD2). I click Term Dates and it shows what appears to be an HTML page listing the dates of the four terms. That's as it's supposed to be? Android 2.3.7

Same result on Google Nexus 7. Android 4.1.1. All appears to be well! One suggestion I would have is to modify your AndroidManifest.xml file to allow install to external SD card. People like @Fred won't install apps that don't have that feature. I'll send you the code for that in email. Mark

I had it in HTML DOCS, could only see top 1/3 of it and some random characters on the bottom. I knew it was there. I add the code in this thread to my apps now and no more issues. If you're only having an issue on that one device (as far as you can tell) then just perhaps add a note to your market page letting users know that. Then they can decide if they want to install or not. Great job on the app! Mark

Might be device specific in this case, as I indicated above that it's working on my Gingerbread install. Thus is the reality of designing for Android! Mark
