Errors in the project after downloading it from BT

Hello friends, I am newbie here on the site. I just started making the apps with the help of BT. I made my first app on the BT control panel and I downloaded it onto my computer (android version). I also have eclipse set up as the videos suggest. Here is the problem I am facing. After I open the android project in eclipse, It show "X" mark on the "src" folder. Once I expand the folder there are lots of file which have yellow exclamation mark on them and two of the files have red X mark "BT_item.java" and "BT_screen_map.java" I opened the file "BT_item.java" by double clicking on them and in the codes I see x mark in front of some line (e.g - import org.json.JSONObject;, GeoPoint point; I don't know how to fix them, please help me fix it so I can run it on the simulator and also make an apk file so I can use it on my phone. Thanks,

Hi @winmobile246, Welcome to buzztouch! That errors means you don't have the Google API selected correctly for your project. Here is a step-by-step, illustrated guide for doing buzztouch on Android. It should help answer just about all of your questions! http://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/buzztouch_For_Android-A_Users_Guide.pdf Mark

Hey Mark, I was looking at your guide and following your step by step instruction in chapter 10 Google map API key (I think this is what you meant in the first response). I was able to find the debug.keystore but when I was trying to get the release keystore (method 2) it said my project contains the error so I cannot export. I also tried method 1 with command line but it said something about keytool command.

You need to make sure the project properties have Google API 8 specified for the project. Click on the project in Package Explorer, then right click and select Properties. The select Android, and make sure you have the correct API selected. Mark

Thanks Mark, it was android 2.2 so I changed it to Google API and X marks are gone now. Thanks once again for your help.

Its so exciting after you over come with the problems and you know after the solution that it was not that hard to do. I know I may sound little weird, but I guess its because I am newbie and I am so excited to make my first android app.
