2.0 Simple Menu Description Text

Is there a way to add description text in the 2.0 Simple Menu? I see where you can change the size of the description text, but I don't see where to add the description text.

If you're talking about what the user sees in the nav bar at the top of the app for that screen, it's in Advanced Properties > Top Navigation Bar, Bottom Toolbar > Nav. Bar Title. Mark

Hi, Mark! Happy Friday evening! I had an app rejected, so moving it to 2.0 now that the quiz is working so I can add the quiz. I have been playing with buttons all day today, trying to get the app to look pretty. No, it isn't the Top navigation bar...in menus in 1.5 there is title text and description text. In 2.0, there are options to set the size of the font for the description text, but no place to enter description text. At least that I have been able to find. Do you see it?

Yep, I see what you're talking about now. Nope, I don't see that option in v2 anywhere. I don't think it exists. :-( Mark

That's what I thought too. Oh, well. I am sure it will come. Putting together my first 2.0 app this weekend! Thank you, Mark!

They do have a advanced simple menu plugin, but note that at this time, it's iOS only. I've spent quite a bit of time helping people debug it to find out that fact in the end! Mark

I plan to use this project for Android as well, and then give the client access on my self-hosted panel. I need to use screens that work in Android and iOS. I especially miss the menu with header! I know there is a plugin for that on the Buzztouch mods, but I need it for Android too. Thanks, everyone!

Hi there. This was the most related forum post I could find to my problem, so I thought I would jump in here with my query- perhaps you guys can advise... I'm v new to this: only owned a smart phone for a few weeks, and just produced my first app using BT 2.0, which runs OK in the AVD but for a couple of minor disappointments. One of these is 'how do I display more than one line of text in a simple menu row?' I have tried adjusting the font size down and the row height up, but no joy. Any suggestions? I am running Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers 1.5.0.20120614-1633 (Juno) over Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid).

Hi,@Magog! The second line doesn't work on the menu simple. If the text you want doesn't fit the only alternative is to make the font smaller. The entry screen is a bit misleading because there are fields to set the size that must have been carried over by mistake. P.S. I like your screen name. I recognized it as a name from the Bible and read the Wikipedia article on Magog.

Thanks for the info. I had given up on that app and deleted the screens, and started over again in version 1.5 instead.
