new and lost

Hey folks, Im still pretty new here to buzztouch, I have a basic account so only 30 pages are allowed, now I have been searching high and low, the answer is probably right in front of my face, but how can I see how many pages that I have used or how many I have left that I can use before my cutoff? I have a lot of information that I want to put in my app but Im going to have to narrow it down to fit the important stuff in there and I have no clue how much space I have left available. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi @caleb_g, Welcome to buzztouch! If you go into your app's control panel, and hit the Screens/Actions link, it gives you a list of all your screens. At the bottom of that list is a count : x of y. That's one way you can see how many screens you have configured. Mark

Hey @gonorthwest, I have seen that down at the bottom of the page but that also includes all the submenu items and basically everything that isnt its own page, cause right now down there is saying there are 182 items, I know that cant be pages, so I counted on my device to see how many pages there are and I came up with 36, now if thats true dont get me wrong I am not complaining in the least bit lol but Im just trying to figure out how many actual pages of my app I have left.

Hi @caleb_g: It's a matter of semantics. @GoNorthWest is calling them "screens" and you are calling them "pages". Same thing as far as we're concerned. @GoNorthWest is right...the number at the bottom of the "Manage Screens and Actions" page in your control panel is the number to keep an eye on. I looked at your account and indeed, one of your apps has 182 "screens." You may ask..."how could this be, my free account only allows up to 30?" Answer: There are a few different ways to create a new screen. The most common way is by using the "Add New" link on the Manage Screens and Actions page in one of your apps. Another way is to create a "new screen" when adding a menu item to an existing menu. I'll bet that if you clicked the "Add New" link on the Manage Screens and Actions page you'll get a message that explains that you're app has "too many screens for your account type." But, if you visit a menu (list menu or button menu), then add a "New Nickname" in the New or Existing Nickname box you'll be able to add the screen successfully. We realize that you may not understand the difference, many users don't. This is why it allows you to add the new screen on the menu without yelling at you. In theory, it should read "your app has too many screens" but we've not enforced this when the software is used they way you're doing it (adding new screens along with menu items). Bottom line is this: You're app does have more screens setup than the free account allows. But, don't worry, nobodies going to turn you off of disable your app ;-) We're letting this play out for awhile (allowing users to add new screens to existing menus even if they exceed their account limits) until we figure out a better way to enforce the account limitations. Most folks understand the spirit of what we're offering and generally don't have hundreds of screens setup the way you do so it's not been a big deal. Hope this helps make it understandable ;-)

thank you very much for explaining this @david, I am trying to build an app for the recruiters of the First Marine Corps District, thats why I have so much information and so many pages , basically its a military app, in my situation I am thankful that you are letting things play out otherwise I have no idea how I would be able to build an app for my unit lol, so thank you for your response in letting me understand how the "pages" or "screens" work, it was a lot of help.
